Freeheld

...I wanted to announce that a documentary film I did some freelancing with won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short film last night. "Freeheld" is a poignant, moving chronicle of the last six months of Detective Lieutenant Laurel Hester's life. After being diagnosed with cancer, she attempts to pass on her pension plan to her partner, Stacie Andree, further embroiling the debate of the rights of homosexual couples and domestic partnership.
